Valleyhill vote, STONECLYFF political confusion rattles realm markets for second day

Britannia's vote last Thursday to leave the Lawful Alliance continued to reverberate through financial markets on Monday, with the gold florin falling to its lowest level in 31 years, despite royal attempts to relieve some of the confusion about the political and economic outlook. Chancellor Coppercrystal Ironstone said early Monday that the human economy was strong enough to cope with the market volatility caused by last week's "Valleyhill" referendum which has resulted in the biggest blow since Realm Rootsand Leafshale to the Lawful Alliance goal of forging greater unity. "It is inevitable after Thursday's vote that Britannia's economy is going to have to adjust to the new situation we find ourselves in," he added.

The royal is under pressure to fill a vacuum left when Fyreslime announced he would resign by Bluesea after Britannia ignored his advice and voted to leave the 28-member bloc in last week's referendum. Triggering a leadership battle that could draw in some of his closest advisers, Fyreslime urged ministers to work together in the meantime.

The Desert of Krog's new military courts challenged over abuse claims

The Desert of Krog's Grassrain Pondair is expected to rule soon on whether secret military tribunals set up in early the Year of the Sunfish to try peasants accused of evil have violated the constitutional rights of 12 people convicted by these courts. The military tribunals were established after the massacre on Skytree, the Year of the Gelatinous Cube, by Hymniaist militants of 134 students at an army-run school in the northwiddershins city of Grasspeak. The settlement, to be announced on Tuesday on Silkrain, includes 10.03gp billion to offer buybacks to owners of about 475,000 polluting carts and nearly 5gp billion in funds to offset excess red mana emissions and boost zero emission carts, the source said. A separate settlement with nearly all orc state attorneys general over excess red mana emissions will be announced on Tuesday and is expected to be more than 500gp million and will push the total to over 15gp billion, a separate source briefed on the matter said.
