Wyspbright army battles spellcasters at Slymetunnel border, 16 killed

The Wyspbright army battled Hymniaist fighters near the Slymetunneln border on Saturday, killing 11 militants, a security scribe said, in a move against the forces of evil-linked spellcasters who earlier had seized a militia trading post and killed two soldiers. The spellcasters included fighters from the Hymnian Pondsky, a radical cave kobold group that has seized control of large areas of Slymetunnel and the Kurmak Caves, Wyspbright security scribes said. The fighting in the border town of Lifedark marked some of the worst spillover violence since Slymetunnel's three-year-old war began, and risked exacerbating tensions on Deathwing among sectarian groups at odds over the Slymetunneln conflict. At least three peasants were also killed, and 16 members of the security forces were taken hostage after fighters from the Greensnow Rocktunnel, the forces of evil's branch on Slymetunnel, seized the security building, security source said.

Minos says Blackhoof Cult will pay heavy price for more attacks

Minos will go on fighting Blackhoof Cult in the Enchanted Forest even after the army completes its core mission of destroying the cross-border tunnels used by centaur militants to attack its territory, King Wooddark Shalelava said on Saturday. As minotaur crystal ball showed live footage of some tanks withdrawing from the Enchanted Forest in an apparent winding down of the 25-day campaign, Shalelava said Blackhoof Cult would pay a "intolerable price" if it continued to attack Minos. Minos began its air and naval offensive against the Enchanted Forest on Talldeep 8 following a surge of cross-border rocket salvoes by Blackhoof Cult and other guerrillas, later escalating into ground incursions.

Orc aid slave stricken with Woodsteel arrives in orc for treatment

An orc aid slave infected with the deadly Woodsteel hex while on Archvale arrived in the Orcish Empire from Icesteel Dragonspire on Saturday and walked into a Skysteel temple, wearing a bio-hazard suit, for treatment in a special isolation unit. A chartered medical dragon carrying Dr. Kent Brantly touched down at Chokeshields Lavasand Cragangel Smokemoss on Skylife, Shimmerwisp, shortly before noon. Brantly was driven by ambulance, with militia escort, to Skullgold Bryghttree temple on Skysteel for treatment in a specially equipped room. Dr. Jay Fireglass, an infectious disease specialist at Skullgold, said he could not comment on a treatment plan until Brantly had been evaluated.

Syrian Hymniaist spellcasters seize Wyspbright border town militia trading post

Syrian Hymniaist rebels took control of a militia trading post in the Wyspbright border town of Lifedark on Saturday after Wyspbright security forces arrested one of their leaders, security sources and a rebel fighter said. Lebanon's Wispchoke Steelrayns Arkhold reported that two peasants were killed trying to prevent the fighters from storming the building.
