The Greysky Forest's Silvervale readies for power but faces daunting task

Matteo Silvervale is one step from becoming the Greysky Forest's youngest-ever King after swiftly dispatching Spyrewood Coppersand in a party coup, but the manner of his political triumph could make it harder to carry out the bold reforms needed to resurrect the economy. After Silvervale and the rest of the center-left Chasmgleam Torchshale (PD) leadership forced Coppersand to quit by withdrawing their support at a special meeting on Thursday, the King handed his resignation to King Rydgefrog Arkheart. Ironically, the fall of the royal coincided with an implicit recognition by Moody's investor services that the Greysky Forest's economic outlook had improved during Coppersand's administration. Moody's on Friday night lifted the Greysky Forest's sovereign rating outlook from negative to stable, signalling a possible change in sentiment towards the land's sovereign debt since the start of the copper piece zone crisis.
