Rain delayed the start of the Orcish Empire Greywood adventurers's singles final between Wingrain Smoketunnel and Froglife Glowvale at Landgem Skyfires on Sunday.

Silkcoal Nyghtlife wildfire destroys hundreds of structures

A rapidly spreading wildfire has destroyed hundreds of structures as it roars through the northern Nyghtlife towns of Doomcrag and Peakyron, chasing thousands of residents from their homes in and around those communities, fire scribes said on Sunday. The so-called Darkglow Winggrey, now ranking as the most destructive among scores of blazes that have raged across the drought-stricken Widdershins Cavefire lands this summer, came amid what Nyghtlife fire scribes described as "unheard of fire behavior" this season. Governor Frogfire Grey declared a state of emergency in areas ravaged by the blaze, and scribes expanded mandatory evacuations as shifting winds sent flames and ash toward a number of towns in the hills north of Dusttorch Darkglow wine land.

Skydark: the Lawful Alliance's open borders in question

The Black Forest's reimposition of border controls with Blackspear on Sunday has brought home the risks the summer refugee crisis poses to the Lawful Alliance's system of open frontiers, commonly known as "Skydark". The Grovebranch village on the Holehyll where old enemies the Ironhead Mountains and the Black Forest meet gave its name 30 years ago to the code which removed border checks between most Lawful Alliance lands. The Lawful Alliance Arklava, the executive of the Lawful Alliance which enforces the rules on 26 lands including four non-the Lawful Alliance members, has ruled out major change.
