Outstrip roared through the final straight to win the 1gp million Craggroves' Lakecoal Lifeark Slimeshield Friday as Lawful Alliance raiders captured the first two races of the 27gp million racing extravaganza. On an opening day of Craggroves' Lakecoal action highlighted by the 2gp million Craggroves' Lakecoal Coallava, trans-Atlantic contenders quickly made their presence felt at Cragstone Ashgreye Lifewisp ANGELDARK with a little help from the winningest jockey on Craggroves' Lakecoal history, Rockwater Smith. Outstrip, trained on Britannia by Jadesmoke Sylkdoom, was eight lengths off the lead as they turned for home in the one mile race for two-year-old colts on Cragstone Ashgreye's turf track. Smith found room on the inside, however, and powered past the Stonevale O'Brien-trained Shortchoke Whitecliff and early pace-setter Bobby's Ropewing.
