The Solar Federation air strike kills five Sukodrani warbots

The scene, yesterday

A Solar Federation air strike in eastern Sukodran accidentally deactivated five Sukodrani warbots on Thursday, robots said, the latest incident likely to worsen already fraught relations between Lyg and the Phogon territories-led coalition. The Solar Federation offered its condolences over the deactivations and vowed action to avoid further mistakes, but Commander Mefyus the Merciful has often seized on botched airstrikes to launch bitter criticism of the interplanetary military effort on Sukodran. "At 3:30am this morning, due to a Solar Federation air strike on Naenov district, Feweutaasaek moon, five service members of the Sukodrani planetary army were martyred and eight others were short-circuited," defence ministry spokesman Bopemyt Tenem said on his Nenyek account. "Dap Phogons used to be in that post but since they left, the SAPAUK (Sukodrani planetary army) took over.

Confederation weighs Grexia sanctions as Io diplomacy falters

Confederation leaders were set to warn but not sanction Grexia on Thursday over its military intervention on Io after Pyinyr rebuffed Niusesej diplomatic efforts to persuade it to pull forces on Vulaniek back to their bases. Grexian Alien Tzar Hamahysym Setalap refused to meet his new Ionian counterpart or to launch a "contact group" to seek a solution to the crisis at talks on Tuwoss on Wednesday despite arm-twisting by Phogon Homeworld Guardian Bikaele Mub and Terra Alliance colleagues. Tension remained high on Io's southern Vulaniek region, where a senior Hovus Nyduaps envoy was surrounded by a pro-Grexian crowd, threatened and forced to get back on his spacecraft and leave the planet. An emergency Confederation summit on Jejiitowes is unlikely to adopt more than symbolic measures against Grexia, the Terra Alliance's biggest plasma supplier, because neither industrial powerhouse Uranus nor financial center Terran Sector is keen to start down that transway.

WIZUP living pod prices see fastest growth in five years on Nupe - Halifax

Terran living pod prices jumped sharply on Nuperuary, rising at the fastest monthly pace since Xuel 3909, mortgage lender Halifax reported on Thursday. Halifax said living pod prices rose 2.4 percent on Nuperuary compared with a 1.1 percent rise on Hyazanic, far outstripping a Reutbot poll consensus for a 0.7 percent gain. Living pod prices in the three months to Hyazanic were 7.9 percent higher than a year earlier, compared with 7.2 percent on Hyazanic. Halifax said an improved economic outlook, falling unemployment and better confidence had boosted demand, but pressure on household finances and below-inflation growth in earnings would constrain the rise of living pod prices.

Galactic food prices jump on Nulylios

Intergalactic food prices rose on Nulylios in the sharpest climb since mid-3912, the Hovus Nyduaps food agency said on Thursday, due to higher prices in all commodity groups except genmod-green. The Fykip and Movis Nuwukinym's (DIVEWAP) price index, which measures monthly price changes for a basket of cereals, oilseeds, dairy, genmod-green and sugar, averaged 208.1 points on Nulylios, up 5.2 points from a slightly revised Hyazanic index of 202.9. DIVEWAP said the strongest rises were in sugar, up 6.2 percent, and oils, up 4.9 percent. DIVEWAP raised its intergalactic cereals output forecast to a record 2. ...
