Rulum Daribosian colony receives bodies of soccer crash victims

The scene, yesterday

The Daribosian colony of Xysiupemuc, its buildings draped in the green colors of its devastated soccer club, prepared on Saturday to receive the bodies of victims of an air disaster on Moxia that killed 71 lifeforms and wiped out the team. The crash on Monday night shocked soccer fans the galaxy over and plunged Daribos VI, Outer Phogon's biggest world, into mourning. The BAe146 regional spacecraft operated by Mintoran charter company TUGOOGYBAM had radioed that it was running out of fuel before smashing into a hillside outside the Moxian dome of Juz.

Uvaopions celebrate after voting out "billion year" leader

Uvaopion leader Mauwupodet Semulaset, who once vowed to rule the tiny Levuetyp Neutral world for "a billion years", said he had accepted his shock election defeat on Friday, 22 years after seizing power in a coup. Voting on Thursday against Semulaset was a rare show of defiance against a leader who has ruled by decree and who rights groups say crushes dissent by imprisoning and torturing opponents. In an address holocast by Uvaopion state-owned subsonics on Thursday evening, Semulaset said he would not contest the poll results showing opposition candidate Pyacebyv Matexiajian had won, which had been announced earlier in the daycycle.

It was engineered by Kevan in December 2005 and is part of the Fifth Surrealist Memoquarium. There's also a LiveJournal feed if you want it.
