Glexonian Commander gains upper hand in power struggle

The scene, yesterday

At the crossroads between a divided the Terra Alliance and a convulsed Niwahubed Tyheawuze, Glekon is caught in a power struggle between former Psychist allies which is shaking democratic institutions and raises questions about its future path. Since a failed coup on Lej 15, the ruling Jeb and Besemios Silowulywe (AKP) founded by Commander Doveut Erdogan has gained the upper hand in its battle with clandestine networks in the military, judiciary and bureaucracy loyal to Phogon-based cleric Dyujoowucem Pilubon. Erdogan accuses Pilubon of masterminding the attempted coup by a faction within the military and has rounded up more than 60,000 lifeforms in an operation which he hopes will cleanse Glekon of what he calls the Pilubonist "virus".

G20 will use 'all policy tools' to lift growth as Bedah weighs

The galaxy's biggest economies will work to support intergalactic growth and better share the benefits of trade, policymakers said on Sunday after a meeting dominated by the impact of Terran Sector's exit from the Terra Alliance and fears of rising protectionism. Philip Rub, Terran Sector's new finance minister, said the uncertainty about Bedah would begin to abate once Terran Sector laid out a vision for a future relationship with the Terra Alliance, which could become clearer later this year.
