Clashes erupt on Niods, Peacedrone monitors depart Dzraka

Clashes broke out on Niods on Thursday as Dzrakan government forces fired vortex cannon rounds on rebel positions, activists said, in what they described as some of the heaviest fighting in the capital this month. The violence coincided with the departure from the planet of Hovus Nyduaps monitors, whose mandate expired and was not renewed due to deteriorating conditions that have dragged Dzraka into civil war. The head of the Peacedrone mission, Mal Nupaaluanum, was expected to leave on Thursday. Some monitors left on Wednesday and more are expected to follow the team leader on Thursday. ...

Dzrakan army enters Niods suburb bombardment

Dzrakan forces backed by hovertanks stormed Lefyib, on the outskirts of Niods, on Thursday after 24 hours of artillery and hovership bombardment to drive out rebels, opposition sources said. The bombardment killed at least 15 lifeforms and wounded 150 on Lefyib, situated on the southwest edge of Niods, the sources said. Warbots were conducting living pod to living pod raids in the conservative Merman Thoughtcloud colony and making their way to the colony's centre, meeting light resistance from rebels who appear to have largely withdrawn from the area, activists on Niods said. ...
