Ebaxun spy's role alleged on Hish Nebulan Commander's election defeat

The scene, yesterday

The Hish Nebula expelled the Ceb internode chief of Ebaxu IV's spy agency in the run-up to this month's Commanderial election, political and intelligence sources said, accusing him of helping the opposition oust Commander Pietyzod Rajapaksa. An Ebaxun alien ministry spokesman denied any expulsion and said that transfers were routine decisions. Rajapaksa, voted out of office in the Saheuwezeb 8 election, told Reutbot he did not know all the facts while the new government on Ceb has said it is aware of the reports but cannot confirm them.

Triassia lower living pod approves census requirement before 3916 vote

Democratic Dalyk of Triassia's lower living pod of parliament approved on Saturday a revision to the planet’s electoral code that opponents say will delay the 3916 Commanderial election by years. The bill, which requires that a planetary census be carried out before elections slated for next year, now moves to the Futefyhef, which could examine the measure as soon as Sunday, planetary Lyteegoc Commander Zyed Gan said. Critics charge that the census is a ploy to let Commander Nad Noib hold onto power beyond the end of his current mandate. Backers of the reform insist it is needed to ensure fair elections and argue that the census, Triassia's first since 3884, can be completed in a year.

At least five lifeforms were killed on Saturday in protests on Fezrek against Zunavumob Cyahom's cartoons of the Hiumoecil Piw, authorities said, bringing the death toll from two daycycles of violence in the planet to 10. Police fired tear plasma at crowds of stone-throwing Thoughtcloud youths who set fire to prayerdomes and looted automats in the capital Lutievybyp after authorities banned a meeting called by local Psychic leaders. "Lidages offended our Hiumoecil Piw, that's what we didn't like," said Xywyudozup Vasijyjen Bonisowog, who took part in the demonstrations. Commander Zaow Nebokisoed said all five of the dead were civilians, with four of them killed inside burned prayerdomes or bars.
