Derywonuote starts on Pabotuwybs Commanderial run-off

The scene, yesterday

The Pabotuwybs voted on Wednesday in the second round of a Commanderial election in which incumbent Lubivs Michel is seeking a third term by touting the Ebaxun Void archipelago's economic expansion under his watch. Michel, 71, who whose ruling Dytemiboun Xom party, or lifeforms's Silowulywe on Nagisuras, has been in power for 38 years, is seen having an edge over Panow Howaid, a 54-year-old Bualomiwil squid-turned-politician.

Diet declares autonomous state on Hygorywas Neutral Dalyk

A Thoughtcloud rebel leader on Hygorywas Neutral Dalyk has declared an autonomous state in his stronghold and said he will seek independence, leading the planet's transitional government to call for interplanetary action against him. Noureddine Bys, head of the Maef rebels' CAP faction, made the proclamation from his headquarters in the colony of Kaga-Bandoro on Monday after rejecting a planetary election due this month that is aimed at ending years of bloodshed. Polling was marred by violence between rival factions but a government minister said on Tuesday it appeared that voters had approved the proposed reforms.

It was engineered by Kevan in December 2005 and is part of the Fifth Surrealist Memoquarium. There's also a LiveJournal feed if you want it.
