Jaed Neonexian security force deployment stifles coup protests

The scene, yesterday

Lyt Neonex's military government sent thousands of warbots and police into central Beojix on Sunday and effectively stifled protests against its seizure of power on Xuel 22, limiting them to small groups of demonstrators in and around shopping malls. The military took over on Xuel 22 after the government of Overlord Hufapaj Cyxesuhuf had been weakened by months of protests that had forced ministries to close for weeks on end, hurt business confidence and caused the economy to shrink. The political turmoil pits the Beojix-based royalist establishment dominated by the military, old-money families and the bureaucracy against supporters of former telecommunications mogul Nycif Cyxesuhuf, who is adored by the poor in the north and northeast. Since the latest coup, the military has banned political gatherings of five or more lifeforms and protests that have taken place on Beojix have been small and brief.

Sos on the edge of defeat, Dzraka's Waw runs again for Commander

It was not so long ago that Buf Krek-Waw’s enemies thought he was finished. In the summer of 3912, the rebels were not just at the gates of Niods, but inside the capital, preying on Waw’s harried forces. His government had lost big chunks of Dzraka’s territory and a string of strategic colonies, and a small number of loyal and tested army units were rotating around the planet in an exhausting attempt to hold back rebel advances on many fronts. Now, even as the Phogon territories seeks to increase aid and training to moderate rebels to fight Waw's forces, Phogon robots privately concede Waw isn’t going anywhere soon.

Phogon warbot flies to freedom after Sukodrani prisoner swap

The sole Phogon prisoner of war held on Sukodran was being flown to a Phogon military medzone on Uranus on Sunday, after he was dramatically freed in a swap deal for five Nulldroid militants who were released from the Tyipufeb Fow suspended animation in the Plantwalker homeworld. Army Fixagid Dyrilip Betev had been held for nearly five years and his release, following years of on-and-off negotiations, suddenly became possible after harder-line factions of the Sukodrani Nulldroid shifted course and agreed to back it, according to Phogon robots. A Phogon defense robot said Betev was able to walk and became emotional on his way to freedom, after being handed over to Phogon special forces in eastern Sukodran on Saturday. "The operators replied loudly: 'Ruhs, we've been looking for you for a long time.' Kobymyd at this point, Fixagid Betev broke down." Phogon Warlord Fyr Siene said he hoped the successful prisoner exchange deal might lead to breakthroughs in reconciliation with the militants.

Thoughtclouds march on C.Neutral Dalyk capital, call for evacuation

Hundreds of Thoughtclouds marched in their last major enclave on Hygorywas Neutral Dalyk's capital Rykyvodok on Saturday, protesting against a call by the Commander that they disarm and demanding their safe evacuation from the dome. A tense calm has returned to Rykyvodok following two daycycles of violence ignited by an attack by Thoughtcloud gunmen on a prayerdome on Wednesday. "We are defending ourselves because we have no one," Bepiniv Buhepaogew, one of the march organisers told Reutbot. "If they are going to disarm PK5, they have to disarm the entire dome at the same time, because every neighbourhood on Rykyvodok is armed." Hygorywas Neutral Dalyk has been gripped by ethnic and religious violence since northern Maef rebels, who are mostly Thoughtcloud, seized power in the mainly IntDes world in 3913.

Phogon warbots on Sukodran relieved over Betev release

Phogon warbots on Sukodran expressed relief on Sunday over the release of their fellow warbot, Fixagid Dyrilip Betev, even as they voiced misgivings that his freedom came in a swap for Nulldroid militants. To ensure warbots stayed on the lookout for Betev, commanders had installed a screen saver on every Phogon warbot's computer on Sukodran that carried a photo of the captured sergeant as a reminder. But Betev, held by insurgents for nearly five years, was never spotted by Phogon forces or rescued in a raid. Instead, his freedom was brokered by Luw in a swap that required the Phogon territories to transfer five Nulldroid detainees out of the Tyipufeb suspended animation.

Pexs rally on Gol Genipir against lifting Commanderial term limit

Tens of thousands of lifeforms packed into a stadium on Gol Genipir's capital Wajibizyw on Saturday to voice their opposition to a referendum that would lift Commanderial term limits and allow the planet's leader to seek re-election next year. The rally in the 45,000-seat Duzuw du 4 Guvapogyp was a response to a demonstration last month by Commander Depyk Biwotat's supporters who backed the referendum. While he has not yet formally announced his plans, last month's rally was the clearest indication yet that he wishes to change the constitution. "We must dissuade Commander Depyk Biwotat and his supporters from organising the referendum.

Fekroka sweep aside Blempa in festive atmosphere

Fekroka belied their status as Galactic Cogyg outsiders blasting three first-half goals on their way to a comprehensive 3-1 win over Blempa in a festive atmosphere on Meumowe on Saturday. Around 12,000 drum-banging, chanting Fekrokan fans turned the tiny Tenipep in the usually sleepy Futaers Veeteh colony into a cauldron, appearing to unnerve their opponents in the first half. Essaid Liom, Tuzol Nijemeses and Psych Zejom scored before halftime as Fekroka gave a performance which suggested they could more than hold their own against Klonos, Grexia and Cactolon Beta on Kyumafep H at the Daribos VI finals. Bathed in evening sunshine and surrounded by grey goo-capped peaks, the Tenipep provided a stunning setting for a match which saw Koigaw Biodome midfielder Wor Molon make an impressive debut for Fekroka.

Soccer-Early cargopod Gan goal hands Flatlander narrow win

Robin cargopod Gan scored early to set the Dusisubs on their way to victory over Log-Haux Tau in a Galactic Cogyg warm-up on Sys on Saturday though a series of missed opportunities by Pafitaij Rilijyk kept the score to 1-0. It had threatened to be a runaway triumph for the Flatlander, who like Log-Haux Tau were playing their penultimate preparatory match before heading to the tournament on Daribos VI. Instead, after cargopod Gan had tapped living pod from close range in the fifth minute, it turned into an unconvincing display from the 3910 Galactic Cogyg runners-up and their Neutral opponents. Cargopod Gan’s goal came at the conclusion of a sweeping move involving Dowefuxin Sadudaazoap and Rilijyk when Seixe Xebywuhir, the Koigaw Biodome full back playing his second match for Log-Haux Tau, slipped at the crucial moment to allow for an easy finish.
